EL CORDOBES: A BULLFIGHTING LEGEND

Born in Córdoba in 1936, Manuel Benítez later known
as El Cordobés when he became a bullfighter, was raised in an orphanage in his home town. He was a construction worker, and inspired by a monument to the great matador Manolete in Córdoba, dreamed of being a bullfighter since

The Running with the Bulls, is one of the events held in Spain that commands internation… Continue

BUMMING AROUND IN EUROPE

As expected, the group of friends were already in the Hotel, each couple in their room when Anna and I arrived from the Airport.- Transferred some clothes from the suitcases to the closet, freshened up a bit and walked down the hall of the small Hotel, looking for the right room number. At my knock, the door opened and there stood Fito; a very dear friend that I hadn't seen in some years. I wasn't surprise to see his hands occupied; one holding a glass, the other with a bottle of Chivas Regal He… Continue
